We are located, in Klamath County, Oregon (surprise!). This business started many years ago when we acquired some very old doorknobs. They were so attractive we wanted to do something with them, so that we could admire them every day. We could not use them as a door knob, but then we had another idea. We carefully mounted them on an oak board and hung it up on the wall by our front door. Voila! Now we have a unique coat rack and we are able to show off our pretty old door knobs every day. Soon we added many more items to our inventory, including key racks, quilt hangers, magazine stands, and much more. What sets us apart is the old door knobs and hardware that we use. Every one is authentically old, not a reproduction. Before we assembled them here, they were used for many years. Some may be over a hundred years old! That is why they may have ‘blemishes’. We have crafted these items so that they can continue to be useful and enjoyed for a long time to come. The compliment we hear most often is about the quality of our workmanship, you won't be disappointed with our products. The ‘blemishes’ that may appear on the knobs and hardware could be one or more of the following: nicks, scratches, cracks and discolorations. We feel this adds character to each piece. We thoroughly inspect each one and make necessary improvements to ensure the dependability of the item you purchase. All of our products are guaranteed against breakage. All of the wood in our items is solid oak. A large part of our business is quilt related. We make quilt stands and quilt hangers in many different styles. Some quilt hangers even have the antique doorknobs and hardware on them. Of course, we still have the original coat racks and key racks. Please check our ‘shows’ page to see where we are headed. |
